(1) Have fun! Gown shopping shouldn’t be stressful or a chore. Have fun, make memories,
and remember you will find your gown. (2) Wear undergarments! We assist each bride in the fitting room to get in and out of the gowns. Undergarments are required. We recommend brides bring a strapless bra, and modest underwear. (3) Bring shoes that are about the heel height you intend to wear on your wedding day. This is to make sure the length of the gown is ideal. (4) Whose opinion matters? Remember this is the bride’s day, and it should be your dream dress. Don’t bring too many people, 1-3 is best, and bring the ones who care more about you being happy than their own opinion. (5) Do not procrastinate!! It takes 4-6 months for a typical special order gown to come in. It takes longer if there are custom changes. You will also need 6-8 weeks for alterations, so plan ahead. If you don’t have that much time don’t worry we do have other options. (6) Make your budget. Let us know what your budget is, and check the tags before you try it on. The prices vary by designer we recommend you avoid trying it on if it’s not an option (all sales are final). (7) Look at pictures before you shop. Go online, look at our bridal gown collection, and get an idea of what you like then let us know. (8) Don’t be afraid to try on different styles. You never know what it will look like on your body until you put it on. A gown may surprise you. Our consultants are excellent at finding the perfect silhouette to best flatter your figure. (9) Remember most bridal gowns run small. So don’t be alarmed when the size chart says you need a larger size than you are used to. This is normal. (10) Finding the right gown is like finding the right guy, once you have found him or it you STOP LOOKING. |
